This collaborative builds trusting relationships between law enforcement and the people they serve for a safer place to live, work, and play. We learned that open dialog can change lives. Put simply, the York County Safety Collab is a collective effort to make us SAFER, TOGETHER. What we do through convening: We unite community-oriented groups and police to build trust, unity, and transparency. We're taking a leadership role in crime prevention by coordinating aligned action toward long-term violence reduction.
This year, the Safety Collab is raising money for the county's Threat Assessment and Mitigation Team. This multi-disciplinary group intercepts adults and youth who are on the pathway to violence by providing supports and interventions. THIS INITIATIVE IS NOT FULLY FUNDED! That’s why we need your help on Give Local. There are people in OUR COMMUNITY that are on the pathway to becoming attackers. They feel isolated, like they don’t belong - outcasts. When they don’t have a support system, they tend to find connection in various online hate groups that promote revenge.
A part of these funds will cover the administrative costs to host this fundraiser including the supplies for the Block Party on Friday, May 2nd from 5-7pm at Logos Academy!
Believing that relationships are critical, the York County Safety Collab is a law enforcement and community partnership for improved public safety, with a special focus on youth.
We focus on building trust and unity, addressing the root causes of violence, supporting youth opportunities, and ensuring neighborhoods have access to resources that promote safety and stability.
