River's Edge Community Services is sponsoring a GROUP Workcamp in York, PA (to be held July 25 - 31, 2027), where up to 250 youth and leaders from across the country will come together to provide basic home repairs for older adults, people with low-income, and/or those who are disabled. Projects include constructing wheelchair ramps, building porches, adding trailer skirting, and painting interiors and exteriors of homes.
Contributions to River's Edge Community Services through Give Local York will be used to offset the cost of materials, with 100% of contributions directly funding these expenses.
The impact of the Workcamp is twofold. More than 40 households will receive free home repairs, and the youth and adult volunteers will be able to deepen their relationships with Christ while being His hands and feet in our community (Ephesians 2:10).
