EMILYS CARE CLOSET INC

Emily's Care Closet was founded in 2022, when a teen with a heart for service and a vision to make a difference started the organization. Emily started this journey while she was in high school, and now, in its fourth year, her dream continues to grow and impact more families than ever before.

While touring a local food pantry, Emily noticed that there were very few personal care items available for families in need. She soon learned that essentials like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste cannot be purchased with SNAP benefits, forcing families to pay out of pocket.

Emily realized no one should have to choose between basic hygiene and paying for necessities like housing or utilities. Inspired to act, she turned her dream of starting a nonprofit into a reality.

Today, that dream has grown into Emily’s Care Closet, an organization that continues to expand its reach each year. Every month, the organization hosts a distribution, providing baskets filled with essential personal care items to approximately 100 families.

Emily's Care Closet Services Include:

• Monthly personal care distribution events providing personal care items such as deodorant, toothpaste, soap, feminine hygiene, and diapers
• Teen Back-to-School Drive – providing teens with new clothing, backpacks, and school supplies to start the year with confidence
• Teen Christmas Drive – offering holiday gifts, new clothes, and personal care items to ensure teens feel seen and supported during the season

In 2025, Emily’s Care Closet served more than 4,000 individuals from over 1,500 families.
