Building Bridges for Brianna is a nonprofit organization based in York, PA, dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Born out of unimaginable loss, founder Matt Dorgan established the organization after the tragic death of his 15-year-old daughter, Brianna Dorgan, to suicide on December 3, 2020. In her memory, Matt and a devoted team—many of whom have faced similar personal losses—have committed themselves to supporting individuals and families in crisis.
Our mission is to bridge the gap from despair to hope by offering a lifeline to those struggling with suicidal ideation and mental health challenges. Through targeted suicide prevention programs, mental health advocacy, and family support initiatives, we work to build a stronger, more compassionate community.
“It takes a strong community foundation to build the bridge for mental health.” – Matt Dorgan. We believe that it’s okay to not be okay, but we also believe no one should have to stay that way. That’s why we focus on connecting people who need help with those who can provide it—creating a support network grounded in understanding, empathy, and resilience.
What We Do:
Offer free and reduced therapy and counseling.
Fund and deliver programs that educate and empower individuals
Together, we are building bridges—one life, one family, one community at a time.
The purpose of the organization is to promote suicide awareness and prevention, fund suicide awareness and prevention programs, support those in need dealing with mental health, and family support programs for families who have members dealing mental health issues.
