In York, something powerful is happening.
Building Bridges for Brianna was born out of unimaginable loss. After the tragic death of his 15-year-old daughter, Brianna Dorgan, to suicide on December 3, 2020, founder Matt Dorgan made a promise: no family should have to walk through that darkness alone.
What started in heartbreak has grown into hope.
Our mission is simple but urgent: bridge the gap from despair to hope. Every day, we meet individuals battling suicidal thoughts, overwhelming anxiety, depression, and trauma. And every day, we remind them of one truth:
It’s okay to not be okay.
But you don’t have to stay that way.
We are building a community where asking for help is met with compassion, not judgment. Where families in crisis find guidance. Where financial barriers don’t stand between someone and the therapy that could save their life.
Because of supporters like you, we are able to:
• Provide free and reduced-cost mental health sessions
• Assist with mental health co-pays so finances aren’t the reason someone goes without care
• Deliver suicide prevention education and awareness programs across York County and beyond
• Support families navigating mental health crises
• Fund life-saving programs that educate, empower, and connect
And we are just getting started.
But here’s the truth: none of this happens without a strong community foundation.

Mission
At Building Bridges for Brianna, our purpose is simple and urgent: to save more lives.
We promote suicide awareness and prevention, fund life-saving programs, support individuals facing mental health challenges, and provide guidance for families navigating difficult seasons. We are expanding our reach by training more community members in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), equipping everyday people with the tools to recognize the warning signs of suicide and step in when it matters most.
Most importantly, we hold no judgment when it comes to providing help. If you need help, we provide that help. Period. No shame. No stigma. Just compassion, understanding, and action.
Every donation allows us to reach more individuals, support more families, and train more community members to be part of the solution.
