Community Progress Council exists to empower people in York County to economic stability. We believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to live life to its fullest potential.
Will you give a gift to support low-income families right here in York County?
When Fayona first connected to Community Progress Council, she was a single mom with big goals: Going back to school, budgeting and saving for a home, and growing her career.
Thanks to people just like you, Fayona had someone in her corner to provide the encouragement, motivation, and accountability she needed. Now, her determination is paying off. Last fall, we honored Fayona as one of our inaugural Self-Sufficiency honorees, a tribute to the progress she’s achieved in earning her associate’s degree, growing her career, and increasing her income. Through it all, Fayona was not alone — thanks in part to generous donors like you who support Community Progress Council and our programs.
Your support through Give Local York will help a family like Fayona's make real progress.
Your gift is a direct investment in the future of York County and the lives of more than 15,500 people that Community Progress Council served last year. Every dollar raised during Give Local York supports Community Progress Council's comprehensive, integrated services, providing the necessary resources for long-term support as families navigate challenges and work toward a brighter future.

As York County’s community action agency, Community Progress Council provides comprehensive, integrated services that offer resources and support for individuals and families to move toward self-sufficiency.
We work with low- and moderate-income people of all ages in York County to examine their current situations and determine how our programs best align with their needs.
Our low income assistance programs aim to create a bridge from crisis to self-sufficiency: To empower individuals and low-income families to rise above poverty, identify long-term goals and move themselves toward independence from external assistance.
