The Greater Hanover Area Fire Museum is located at 134 East Hanover Street, Hanover Pennsylvania in the old Eagle Fire Company station which was built in 1914. The museum preserves the heritage of over 200 years of the firefighting, rescue, and ambulance services from the greater Hanover area. Represented here are the original volunteer fire companies and ambulance services as well as the career fire service of the Borough of Hanover and Coronary 46 plus many of the local region’s other local volunteer fire companies, ambulance services, and rescue squads.
The mission of the Greater Hanover Area Fire Museum is to acquire, preserve, enhance, and protect past, present, and future fire and emergency service apparatus, equipment, artifacts, and memorabilia of the greater Hanover PA area, display such items for the education, assist with fire prevention as circumstances may require with our partner fire and emergency service organizations, and conduct fund-raising activities in support of its purpose.
