Heritage Senior Center

A nonprofit organization

$24,734 raised by 50 donors

Our mission is to help strengthen the York County Senior community by providing programs, services and nutritious meals to enrich the lives of individuals over the age of 60. The staff and volunteers at the center have worked hard to help out area seniors receive nutritious meals through home delivered meals and curb side pick-up. In 2024, The Heritage Senior Center served over 1,000 meals a week.  The Home Delivered Meals drivers delivered an additional 150 meals to home bound seniors a week. The center gets on yearly average over 200 new members.   The center has been in the process of raising funds for the new building that will be located on Donwood Road and Country Drive in Dover Township. Before the pandemic, we had outgrown our space but now more than ever we need to expand due to the big increase in members so we can meet their needs. By donating to the new building fund, you will be supporting your community seniors to stay healthy by receiving nutritious meals and participating in exercise programs and other socialization activities. You will be helping to increase area seniors' mental health through activities and friendships so they have the ability to live their lives to the fullest. Not only will this new building benefit our community seniors but it will also benefit you when you are looking for a place to hold a special birthday, retirement party, or reception. This will become the community hub of Dover for everyone to enjoy. Retirement is something we all look forward to someday and the Heritage Senior Center wants to be that place for everyone in the area to celebrate life.
