“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow” - Audrey Hepburn

At the Horn Farm Center, we see hope take root every day.

It looks like tiny seedlings reaching for sunlight, a new farmer learning to steward the land, and a community coming together to care for the future we all share.

In a world afflicted by conflict and despair, the Horn Farm Center is a place we need.

Hope is growing here...

On land once depleted, thousands of trees and shrubs are growing strong - filtering our water, building soil health, and creating habitat for wildlife. People of all ages are gaining the skills to grow food, heal the land, and build more resilient livelihoods.

This work doesn’t happen on its own. Horn Farm Center is a place where hope thrives because of people who care - community members like you - who uplift our mission so everyone can experience the joy of hands-on discovery in nature.

Now is an exciting time to get more involved. Indoors and out, the Horn Farm Center is serving our community like never before:

  • A Place to Learn: With a comfortable learning space inside the restored farmhouse, improved restroom facilities, and more diverse program offerings such as webinars, craft classes, and youth programs, the Horn Farm Center is a welcoming place for everyone.

  • A Place to Grow: Across the farm, a learning landscape is taking shape. The new food forest and agroforestry plantings are producing a bounty of regenerative crops for our community while showcasing how others can grow abundantly at home. Starting in June, visitors can enjoy a self-guided walking trail featuring over 10 interpretive signs.

  • A Place to Be Inspired: Seasoned growers and new farmers alike are finding connection through enriched programs and partnerships, like the 33-week Regenerative Grower and 10-week Forager Training Programs. Moreso, over 100 classes and workshops help to foster meaningful change at home and in our communities.

In the face of today’s challenges, the Horn Farm is a place where people can rediscover their own resilience.

This learning landscape extends beyond building skills and knowledge. When we deepen our relationship with others and the natural world, we find healing and empowerment.

If you believe in our mission, please donate to the Horn Farm Center to support hands-on experiences that strengthen our communities in York, Lancaster, and beyond.

Together, we can ensure that there will always be a place where people can get their hands in the soil, learn from the land, and become part of a more hopeful, regenerative future.
