PASTA was founded in 2012 to support the drama program of the Hanover Public School District by supplementing the funds provided in the school district budget for the yearly high school and middle school productions.

PASTA recognizes that an arts education has a positive impact on children’s confidence and creativity while teaching responsibility and accountability in a fun, supportive environment.

By encouraging parental involvement and promoting the HPSD theatre arts program in the community, PASTA strives to enhance our students’ theatre experience and help them build real-world skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Most recently, PASTA supported Hanover High School's performance of The Lightning Thief, The Percy Jackson Musical, a high-energy rock adaptation of Rick Riordan’s bestselling book, The Lightning Thief, the first book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. This musical originally opened on Broadway in 2019, and is currently on national tour in the UK.
