The York Academy Foundation is on a mission to change York Academy students' lives, and we need your help! Our goal is to assist the school and its educators to develop leaders who will improve our world.

Every dollar donated comes directly back to benefit our amazing students for exciting learning opportunities, impactful off-campus experiences, and scholarships for future graduates.

The York Academy Regional Charter School is a diverse, tuition-free public school that provides a well-rounded, stellar education focused on preparing students for college and beyond. Through the challenging International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, our kind, qualified educators empower students to be lifelong learners who thrive and make a difference. They build critical thinking skills, nurture their curiosity, and develop intercultural understanding and respect for others.
Since international-mindedness is key to the IB framework, students begin learning Spanish in kindergarten and it becomes a major subject through graduation (for all). Students express themselves through our progressive performing and visual arts programs. They also participate in National Honor Societies, sports, extracurricular clubs, and more. Our students connect their learning to the world around them and have access to invaluable opportunities that are unmatched locally.
In addition, 100% of our graduates are furthering their education. Alumni attend Vanderbilt University, Haverford College, Temple University, Wagner College, Bridgewater College and others. In just a few weeks, the Class of 2024 will graduate and start on a path to make their mark! They are well-prepared for life beyond our walls - not just academically, but with self-confidence and resilience. We know they will be successful in all they do!

Mission
The York Academy Regional Charter School is a nonprofit, tuition-free public charter school that educates over 900 diverse students via the world-class International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. The Academy prides itself on offering challenging academics and innovative art, music, science and design/engineering programming within a caring school environment. Founded in 2011, the school is chartered by Central York, York City and York Suburban School Districts. Students from 14 districts are represented. The Academy serves students from K-12th grade.
In addition, the Academy is the only school in York County – and one of just four in the state - authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. IB programmes focus on teaching students to think critically and independently, and how to inquire with care and logic. The IB curriculum is shared in 5,000 schools in over 150 countries around the world, and York Academy is proud to be one of them. To learn more about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org.
