Downtown Inc works to enhance
and foster reinvestment in Downtown York as an entity of the York County
Economic Alliance.
When Downtown Inc affiliated
with the York County Economic Alliance in 2018, many services were strengthened
to stabilize our operations and leverage the resources and
expertise necessary to further drive our mission. However, the need for
Downtown Inc as a non-profit to continue to fundraise is greater than
ever.
Your gift to us during Give Local York is earmarked exclusively for use of Downtown Inc projects such our Clean & Green Team, Downtown Resource Center, pedestrian safety, business attraction efforts, and additional economic development strategies.
These dollars yield tangible changes like new, local artist designed, crosswalk art; replacement of rusted, damaged trench drain covers; supporting our small business community through grants and training, continuing our support of the Garden Club of York, installing new cigarette receptacles downtown and updating all of our Downtown Wayfinding Signage.
All of these items are essential to York’s curb appeal and the viability of our business community and we need your help to continue to make things happen in #historicallyedgy downtown York.
Downtown York truly has become the region’s hub of new ideas, cultural revitalization, culinary curiosity, and artistic exploration. Through this period of transformation, Downtown Inc has been there every step of the way, driving, enhancing, and encouraging investment.
