“A 5-star library!”

Our family-friendly library is known for our welcoming staff and volunteers. Here at Mason-Dixon Public Library, we have a special love for the arts. We host art shows and receptions throughout the year. We also offer fun and educational activities for everyone in the family, including regular book discussion groups, author visits, lectures, crafts and our "Third Wednesday Series" of community programming. Our Story Time programs are designed to meet state educational standards and are held in a special area just for kids! Families especially enjoyed our "Summer Submarine" that magically sailed to many faraway places, but always returned home to Stewartstown.

Inside our walls you’ll find bestselling books, community gathering spaces, free Internet, a fireplace, and a Quiet Reading Room with artwork from local artists. Outside, enjoy our Native Plant Garden Patio, or check out a Birding Backpack to set off on your own adventure.

There's More to the Story!

Libraries are full of stories in a variety of ways from picture books to large print, audiobooks to eBooks, and more.

Libraries are welcoming safe spaces that bring communities together for entertainment, education, literacy, relaxation, music, art, food and fun while always serving everyone. They play an important role in the engagement of imagination for all ages!

Your support of Mason-Dixon Public Library ensures everyone in your community has a part in the story. Thank you for your gift!

Mission

Libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and everyone is welcome to use our services. During the pandemic libraries have been going above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding their resources and continuing to meet the needs of their users. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer opportunities for everyone to explore new worlds and become their best selves through access to technology, multimedia content, and educational programs.

Now, more than ever, our library needs your support to ensure these resources continue to be accessible, and the programs you love continue to run.

• $25 provides access for more than 30 families a year to enjoy a book or ebook of their choice.

• $50 provides a Story Time for unlimited families to enjoy in the comfort of their home.

• $100 provides a month of free and unlimited access to the library’s wi-fi for business or personal use.
