Scholarships

York City Dollars for Scholars helps fill the gap for promising students with financial need. These awards mean less debt and fewer work hours while attending school—and that means students have more time to focus on academics and persist toward graduation.

With your generous support, in 2024, we awarded over $80,000 to 46 high-achieving students for their first year of college. But we didn’t stop there. We also provided $40,000 in scholarships to rising sophomores and additional funding to upperclassmen. Your contributions have a lasting impact, especially for students who often face a lack of funding beyond their freshman year. One of York City Dollars for Scholars’ (YCDFS) primary goals is to increase the financial aid available to these students, ensuring they can continue their education through graduation.
