Hanover Area Arts Guild

Hanover Area Arts Guild is located in the heart of historic downtown Hanover, within easy walking distance of various shops, restaurants, and other attractions. The Guild began in 1968 and has grown into an organization of approximately 200 artists and fine craftsmen. Our large gallery offers new shows and exhibits each month, featuring member artists' original creations. Gallery visitors are welcome to view and simply enjoy the art on display, or to select pieces to purchase for enjoyment at home or for gifts.

We are proud to provide numerous art-related educational opportunities in our gallery: exhibits are always free, with docent-led tours available; classes and workshops help rising artists of all ages reach their potential. Our programs involving local school art programs are a special aspect of our gallery offerings, and we offer an annual scholarship to local high school students wishing to pursue art-related education after graduating. This year, donations we receive through GLY's Giving Days will help support our scholarship fund so that we can increase the amount of future scholarship awards.

The Guild is an active part of the vibrant downtown, purposely building relationships with fellow local businesses and organizations, and other arts groups in the region. The creative body of artists and supporters that is the Guild represents a significant contribution to the cultural enrichment of the community.
