M.O.R.E. for Furry Friends is a 501c3 nonprofit that was found in 2017 to connect pet owners with the resources, education and support they need to take responsible care for their pets to reduce pet abandonment, neglect, abuse and shelter surrendering.  Our organization was named after our feline founder, Murphy!  After discovering that Murphy was abandoned by his previous owners  our president struggled to find the resources needed to properly assess Murphy's needs and care for him.  Murphy essentially became the "cat-alyst" for our conception which is to bridge the gap between the resources, those organizations that have them and the pet owners and altruistic individuals that want to help companion animals in eed.

We strive to keep companion animals with their families and to assist individuals who take responsibility of stray or disadvantaged animals. We believe that through unity and collaborative support we can make a difference for the pets and families in our community.

We provide free Feline Spay & Neuter programs to low income and high risk families in York County, low cost microchip clinics, free food and shelters to the caretakers of feral and stray colonies as well as financial support, resources and education to local pet owners.

Our future goals are to be able to provide free Canine Spay & Neuter surgeries and veterinary care to low income families in York County and to host our own pet education event to better connect these wonderful resources and pet professionals with local pet owners!

Who We Are

Our vision is to reduce pet surrendering, abandonment and neglect often caused by a lack of financial, education & networking resources. We assist, support & refer all York County pet owners, feral colony caretakers & individual rescuers to provide pets & strays the essential resources to stay with their families or get a second chance at life. We believe that through unity and collaborative support we can make a difference for the pets and families in our community.
For over 3 years we have provided much needed resources to our community's pets & strays through our outreach programs and with the support of our donors. Our Less is MORE program has supported pet owners in need by providing FREE feline spay, neuter & core vaccinations. Our Colony Caretaker Outreach has donated dozens of homemade feral/stray cat shelters & much needed food.
We have rehabilitated and rehomed 18 cats to their furever homes through our foster program and donated food & toys to local pet owners struggling to feed their pups.
We frequently provide Free Social Media Marketing Boosts to help owners find new homes for their pets when they have no other choice but to make that difficult decision and we provide education and resources to help keep those pets in their home when it is possible.
We host a bi-monthly Affordable Microchip Clinic so that owners can afford to ensure their pets safety should they become lost.
We have performed & assisted in multiple TNR efforts to keep unwanted litters from becoming unmanageable colonies.
With our networked partners in animal care, we are able to provide resources and hope to those that had no where else to turn when they find a stray cat or dog or are simply unable to take responsible care of their pets.
Our goal for 2021 is to begin providing FREE spay & neuter services to Dogs in York County in addition to launching our new educational programs to help more pet owners take responsible care of their pets!
