The York County C.A.R.E. (Child Abduction Response Effort) Team is an organization composed of members from local, state and federal agencies; trained and equipped to respond to abducted and endangered missing child incidents in York County.
The team is a certified CART (Child Abduction Response Team) by the United States Department of Justice AMBER Alert Program. The certification is a standard of excellence in preparing for and investigating missing child cases. The team is one of 3 teams certified in Pennsylvania and 29 in the U.S. The team has been certified since 2010.
The team's bloodhound, K9 Prince was donated to the team by the Jimmy Ryce Foundation in March 2017.
Our team is comprised of law enforcement and support agencies to include the FBI, First Tracks S&R, Northern York County Regional Police, PA State Parole, PA State Police, South Central S&R, Southern Regional Police, Spring Garden Twp. Police, Summit S&R, West Manchester Twp. Police, West York Borough Police, York City Police, York County Adult & Juvenile Probation, York County Children & Youth, York County CAC, York County 911, York County Emergency Management, York County District Attorney's Office, York County Regional Police and York County Sheriff's Office.
