I support the award-winning York County History Center because it’s not just about preserving the past, it’s about creating connections for kids.
From the signing of the Articles of Confederation in 1777, to one of our own, 4-star Gen. Jacob L. Devers, helping liberate the Dachau concentration camp during World War II, York County has long played a role on the national and world stage. Add to that the mechanical and industrial innovation that shaped this region, and treasures like one of the last fully functional Tannenberg organs still performing concerts today, and you begin to see the depth of the story we’re stewarding and preserving for future generations.
Every day, the History Center brings these stories to life, building connections across generations and creating a deeper understanding of who we are and where we’re going. Through its nationally renowned library and archives, guests can discover their own histories and the powerful gift of knowing where they come from, and use that knowledge to shape and build a lasting legacy.
At a moment when our nation is reflecting on its 250th anniversary, the History Center ensures that York’s story is not only remembered, but experienced, shared, and carried forward for future generations.
Join me in supporting the York County History Center. Let's make history together!
