Hello friends—

I’m excited to share that I’m volunteering as a Penn‑Mar Human Services Champion for this year's Give Local York! Penn-Mar is organization that means a great deal to me. Penn‑Mar supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live courageously in pursuit of their best life.

For more than 40 years, Penn‑Mar has walked alongside people and families in Northern Maryland and Southern Pennsylvania—providing community living, employment support, day learning, and in‑home services tailored to each person’s goals. They start by listening: What does a good life look like to you? Then they help build the path forward.

What does it take for someone to land their first job, move into a home of their own, or feel fully included in their community?

It takes opportunity. It takes support. And it takes people who believe in what’s possible.

Nearly 2,000 people are building lives filled with purpose, connection, and growth through Penn‑Mar’s programs. But government funding alone can’t create the level of opportunity and independence people deserve. That’s where Give Local York comes in.

During this community‑wide day of giving, your support helps Penn‑Mar raise the bar—strengthening programs, expanding opportunities, and opening doors for the people who count on them every day.

When you give, you’re not just making a donation. You’re helping someone take their next courageous step.

I’d love for you to join me in showing York what’s possible. If you’re able, please consider making a gift through my fundraising page.

Thank you for believing in possibility and helping create a community where everyone can thrive.
