Rooted in the belief that food is foundational to healing, the UPMC Memorial Farm to Hospital Program is redefining wellness by growing fresh, nutritious food right on the UPMC Memorial campus. This year‑round, working farm helps address food insecurity and the root causes of illness while supporting the health and wellness of patients, families, and the York County community.

Under the leadership of KimberLee Mudge, MD, breast surgeon, at UPMC Memorial, this innovative program shifts the narrative from a focus on illness to one centered on wellness. “Health care should be more than just medicines and surgeries,” says Dr. Mudge. “It’s about pairing fresh food with fitness, mindfulness, and spiritual healing to foster whole-person wellness.”

Through a partnership with York Fresh Food Farms, produce grown on campus is shared throughout York City, local CSA programs, and UPMC Food Services, reaching UPMC Central Pa. patients and our community right where they are.

On Give Local York, give where you live and help us grow health, hope, and wellness.
