My name is Crystal, and I believe deeply in the work of the YMCA. Every day, I have the privilege of connecting individuals and families to opportunities that truly change lives, and I see firsthand the impact of that work across our community.
Our housing programs work to combat homelessness and help individuals and families find stability, resources, and a path forward. We are committed to meeting people where they are and helping them build a stronger foundation for the future.
In health and wellness, we support individuals of all ages, including those living with chronic health conditions, by connecting them to programs that improve their quality of life—often at little to no cost. We also create spaces where Active Older Adults can build friendships, stay active, and reduce isolation. Through LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, we walk alongside cancer patients and survivors as they regain strength and find a supportive community.
Our youth development programs, especially youth sports, bring families closer together while helping kids build confidence, teamwork, and lifelong skills. We are proud to offer programs that support young people as they grow, learn discipline, and discover their potential.
Our aquatics programs play a critical role in keeping our community safe. Through swim lessons and water safety education, we equip children and families with lifesaving skills and confidence in and around the water. Our outdoor pool also serves as a safe, welcoming hub where families can gather, cool off, and create lasting memories together.
This work is more than a job—it is a mission I believe in wholeheartedly.
On Give Local York, I’m asking for your support to help us continue making this impact. Your donation allows us to keep building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
Every gift truly makes a difference.
