My connection to the YMCA began years ago when my two daughters joined the YMCA swim program. What started as a means to develop their swimming skills quickly became something much bigger. Through the YMCA, I watched my daughters grow—not just as athletes, but as young people. They learned discipline, dedication, and determination, and they came to understand that the YMCA is about far more than sports. It’s about community, character, and opportunity.

Those early experiences laid a foundation that continues today. My oldest daughter now swims for a Division I college program, and her success is due in large part to the coaching, training, and values she gained through the YMCA. The YMCA didn’t just teach her how to swim—it helped shape who she is.

Today, I’m honored to serve as a board member of the YMCA of the Roses, where I see firsthand the powerful impact this organization has across York and Lancaster counties. From youth development to wellness and outreach, the YMCA strengthens our communities every day.

One of our most exciting initiatives is the new YMCA facility in Spring Grove, PA—an incredible asset for that growing community. There is still important work to be done and funds to be raised, both for this facility and for the many programs that serve our neighbors.
